Pink Depression Glass, Hobnail, and Mary Kay

There's always junk treasures
under my shed  carport.

Someone asked me last week,
"What do you do with all that 'stuff'?"

I laughed,
"You mean all the junk?"

"Oh, I redo and sell."

LOL!!!
I keep for weeks, with good
intentions to refinish and resell,
only to tire of the clutter
and donate to Goodwill.

Today, much to my delight,
I found a treasure
sitting atop the "stuff."

Pink depression glass cake plate,
cream and sugar-
a gift from my sister-in-law.

She knows my love for pink
and she hunts for treasures too.

Hoping to give my Mary Kay
business a little push,
I am looking to Pinterest for ideas.

Hobnail is my favorite.
Pink and white will be
used for the delishes.

I have several of these pieces
that will be great for
cake pops!

Pink Lemonade served
from old bottles-
delightful!

or maybe
soda pop bottled
to sip with drinking straws.

A summer lemonade stand?

And of course,
now I have a few new pieces.

The photo doesn't do my
pretty and pink
justice.

Much prettier when
pulled together
will all my other whites against
a pink wall and
reflected in an old mirror.

Have a Terrific Tuesday!

The Bird

I recently read that we
should have something that
we can look at daily
to remind us of who we are.

God has been using the bird
to teach me about
LOVE
and
TRUST.

I found this sweet, simple
pendant with the perfect
charms...

a family tree,
a faux diamond,
and
a bird..
all with special meaning.

Of course, my family is my greatest treasure on earth
and the most precious gift that God has given me.

Any girl knows that a diamond is forever.
I've been married to my childhood beau for 35 years.

And the bird....ahhh...the bird.

I told the story to Mr. H and he said,
"Let me get it for you."

My husband is not the least bit sentimental,
but he knows my heart.

Today I bought bedding for the junk room,
aqua
and one special pillow...

yes, a bird.

I wear my necklace often.
I reach for the bird and hold it and remind myself,
"If God takes care of the little birds,
will He not take care of you?"

One translation says,
"And you are worth more than the birds."

Happy Sunday,

Bonnie:)
